Praise Band

For those who love the music you hear on Christian radio stations, (and songs you wish you heard on the radio!) this band is for you.

The Praise Team leads 9am worship through great music and open hearts.

Please email Dwight Brown, our Praise Team director, at dlbrownjr@juno.com for more info.

Instrumentalists

All through the year, those who are blessed with the ability to play a musical instrument are invited to contribute to our worship service and special concerts. We also have opportunities for instrumentalists to add to the accompaniment of the Choir and congregational singing.

If you play an instrument and would like to learn more about the possibilities of adding your talents to these worship events, please contact the Director of Music.

Chancel Choir

Our church choir is open to all interested singers who would like to take part in our Traditional Worship services. From September to June, the Chancel Choir presents music each week at our 10:30am morning worship service. The choir is on vacation during the summer. We cover a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from gospel songs and spirituals to contemporary Christian music, as well as classical compositions.

The Chancel Choir present a full music program at Christmas time, as well as contributing to the Thanksgiving Eve Service and Easter Holy Week services. Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary each Thursday evening from 7:15pm to 9:00pm. Childcare is provided during rehearsals.

There are no auditions. The only requirements are:
      • the desire to become a part of a vital, spirited group
      • the willingness to have fun as music is prepared
      • the willingness to share your gift of music

Long term and short term commitments are welcome. Join us for Christmas, Easter, or for a given month. The choice is yours.

Canterbury Bells

As openings occur, our Handbell Choir welcomes new bell ringers. This choir offers the opportunity to create beautiful music and enjoy the close fellowship of a small musical team. Openings in this group are for persons who have some music reading capabilities.

Once a month, from September to June, our handbell choir plays a musical offertory of moderate difficulty at the 10:30am Traditional Worship service.

The handbell choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The selection of music covers all styles, from arrangements of well known hymn tunes to brand new compositions. Our bell choir takes part in the Christmas Concert and attends an annual Regional Handbell Festival each spring.
