Harvest Dinner Update -- Thanks to our wonderful volunteers...

The 17th annual Harvest Dinner, an Aldersgate tradition, was a huge success.  This past Sunday evening, Aldersgate families totaling more than 160 potlucked and celebrated -- turkey dinner with all the trimmings, stimulating dinner conversation, followed by inspiring presentations by Ginny, Jenny and Jenn!

The Harvest Dinner team led by Patty Ferguson roasted 6.5 turkeys (120 pounds); cooked tons of stuffing and gallons of gravy; peeled 60 pounds of potatoes; baked 24 dozen rolls; moved and decorated a gazillion tables and chairs; and after all was done, returned the Fellowship Hall, the kitchen and the narthex to pristine condition!

Families brought from home hot and cold salads, wonderful side dishes (yes, the green bean casserole made it to the table) and desserts -- pies, cakes, cookies! Fun and fellowship was had by all!  We will do it all again next year!

Many thank to Patty Ferguson, the Green Team, the Liturgists and everyone else who helped make this Harvest Dinner a wonderful time for all!
