Crossroads Dinner
Aldersgate provides dinner to low-income members of our Eastside community on the 4th Tuesday of each month. The meals are served at the Salvation Army Building on 164th in the Crossroads area. The typical turnout ranges from 45 to over 60 people. The menu is the same each month. We provide fried chicken, green salad, dinner rolls, fruit or jello salad, cookies and beverages. We purchase the chicken and dinner rolls using funds reserved by the church for Crossroads. Members of the church provide the rest and also help serve.
You can contribute to this program in one of three ways: donate money (not much fun), food (some fun), or come help serve (the most fun). Serving and cleanup is no more than a 1-hour commitment, excluding drive time. Pledges to serve or contribute food are taken immediately after church services the Sunday before our Tuesday meal date. Serving the needy in our community couldn’t be much easier.
